Weddings and Baptisms.
Making appointments
To arrange your Wedding or Baptism, first contact the church Office, by post,
phone or e-mail to get an appointment, details are on the Contacts Page.
The appointments will usually be on a Tuesday evening, between 7.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m.
in the Narthex of the church.
Weddings
With so much to plan, it is inevitable that further meetings will be required to make
arrangements for choice of hymns/songs, floral arrangements etc.. These can usually be
discussed at another Tuesday evening appointment.
Rehearsals usually also occur on certain Tuesday evenings through the year.
Baptisms
Baptisms usually occur on the third Sunday in the month at the 10.30 Family Service.
We offer a choice of either a full Christian Baptism, or a Thanksgiving for the
Birth of a Child. This is the choice of the parents and we seek to set out
what the options are (and why) via a home visit by members of our Baptism visiting
team. These teams are members of our church who will discuss the two types of service,
explain the promises that parents and godparents will be making in public and allow
you to ask questions that you will not necessarily have time to discuss duiring
the initial appointment.
Dates of Baptisms are not usually booked until after the home visit has taken place.
