We welcome enquiries about Baptism for Children or Adults resident in the Parish or Pudsey.
Making appointments
To arrange your Baptism, first contact the church Office, by post,
phone or e-mail to get an appointment, details are on the Contacts Page.
The appointments will usually be for a Tuesday evening, between 7.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m.
in the Narthex of the church.
Baptisms or Thanksgiving ?
We offer a choice of either a full Christian Baptism, or a Thanksgiving for the
Birth of a Child. This is the choice of the parents and we seek to set out
what the options are (and why) via a home visit by members of our Baptism visiting
team.
Home visits
Home visits are made by members of our church who will discuss the two types of service available,
explain the promises that parents and godparents will be making in public and allow
you to ask questions that you will not necessarily have time to discuss during
the initial appointment you attended at the church.
The Baptism Service
Dates of Baptisms are not usually booked until after the home visit has taken place.
Baptisms are usually conducted on the third Sunday in the month at the 10.30 a.m.
Family Service.
The service takes place as part of our usual Sunday Family Service, so many members of the church are present to see
these new members of the Christian faith.
